The Qırğız (Common Script: Qırğız; IPA: /qɯɾʁɯz/; Kyrgyz: Qırğız; قىرغىز; Кыргыз) descend from the ancient Qırğır tribe, west of the Xuŋa and south of the Tägäräk. The modern Qırğız of Qırğızstan (Kyrgyzstan) speak a Northwestern Turkic language.
