یادداشت ها

Shimunek (2017) reconstructs *kʰilm[ɔ/ʊ]rt͡ʃin, comparing it to Middle Mongol kelemeçi “interpreter.” Ironically, the word that is transcribed here is actually Tabğaç *kelemet͡ʃin s.m. Likely from Mongolic *kel “tongue.” However, one should note the Turkic cognates: Old Turkic *kelet͡ʃy “conversation,” Middle Oğuz (كَلَاخُو) *käläːt͡ʃy “conversation,” Chuvash kala (кала) “to say, speak,” Turkish geleci (geleci) “conversation,” Kazakh kelissöz (келіссөз) “negotiations,” Kyrgyz keliş (келиш) “to come to an agreement,” Tatar kileş (килеш) “to come to an agreement,” Bashkir kileş (килеш) “to come to an agreement.”
