Notes

Dybo (2014) has Juci (居次), which she reconstructs as **ka shjəś "princess’," derived from a Middle Iranian *kan-čača. This is simply wrong. In the presence of obvious Turkic etymologies, it seems wrong to desperately force Iranian etymologies. Schuessler's (2014) Late Han reconstructions are demonstrably reliable; thus, the reconstruction speaks for itself.
